Fire Hawk Services at VetEx25: Proud to Be a Veteran-Certified Business

Tomorrow, the Veteran Business Community (VBC) will host VetEx25—a headline event that brings together veteran-owned businesses, partners, and supporters for a day of connection, insight, and shared purpose.

Fire Hawk Services will be attending VetEx25, proud to stand among a growing network of veteran-led enterprises contributing to Australia's economy and public life.

Who is the Veteran Business Community?

The Veteran Business Community (VBC) supports current and former ADF members, as well as their spouses and partners, to grow businesses, build networks, and generate meaningful revenue opportunities. It champions the strengths veterans bring to business—strategic thinking, operational focus, adaptability—and provides platforms for visibility, collaboration, and professional growth.

A Proudly Veteran-Owned, Operated and Employer-Certified Business

Fire Hawk Services (FHS) is honoured to be a Veteran-owned, operated, and (soon-to-be) employer-certified business under the Veteran Business Community  (VBC) framework.

The company was co-founded by Dave Hopkins, who served for over 25 years in the Royal Australian Air Force, specialising in learning, capability development, and operational planning. His experience now supports FHS’s mission to deliver capability where it's needed most.

Co-founder and company secretary Geneviève Hopkins will be representing Fire Hawk Services at VetEx25, connecting with others in the VBC and learning from their experiences.

Bringing FlightSat to Public Safety Aviation

Fire Hawk Services is currently focused on supporting Australia’s public safety sector through FlightSat—a next-generation satellite communication solution built for aviation.

FlightSat integrates Starlink’s low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellite network into fixed-wing and rotary aircraft, providing high-bandwidth, low-latency connectivity to aircraft operating in black zones or beyond mobile coverage.

In sectors like aeromedical retrieval, fire management, emergency response, and border patrol, FlightSat enables safer missions and more coordinated responses by keeping crews connected from take-off to touchdown.

Let’s Connect

If you’re attending VetEx25, Fire Hawk Services would love to connect. Whether you're a fellow veteran business owner, a potential collaborator, or simply interested in public safety innovation, please come say hello.

Fire Hawk is proud to help Australia’s public safety aviation sector stay connected—wherever the mission takes them.
